Back to Columbus. (Dublin, Dent, Bethel: apartments, rentals, neighborhoods)

Hey all,
I'm returning to Columbus after having been in Savannah GA for 5 years and DFW, TX (Denton, then Dallas) for the last 2. I grew up in Clintonville and Dublin, down 315 etc. (northwesterner) but more intrigued by living in the Grandview area. I've felt like while I was gone it has become bike central, and is now a very foot traffic and two wheel friendly part of town.

Anybody have any secrets though of a cheap awesome apt complex anywhere between grandview and bethal/sawmill? My budget is sheisty and I even need a garage. Lost cause?

The area you gave it pretty much the entire NW side so I am sure you can find something in your budget there. If you prefer grandview area, most of the rentals are located in the northern part of the neighborhood (actually in Columbus city limits) around King/5th/Grandview ave/3rd ave. This area is definatly bike friendly, near the trails, and close to great areas to bike like the short north, campus, downtown, etc.

Then there are lots of apartments in Columbus along Olentangy, Kenny Rd, Henderson Rd, Bethel Rd. In terms of biking I am not sure these are the friendliest areas, but they are very nice, near the bike trails, have lots of apartments, and some sidewalks. Also, you can get further into the city rather fast, especially when biking or by car. It sounds like you probably already know this though.

What is your budget range for an apartment? This should help me point you in a more specific direction.

I was paying 490 in Dallas and want to try to keep it around that or less (yea right) but might have to count on a roommate to achieve it if I will get a garage for that price. REALLY need a garage.

I just got into town last night and will be going down and around grandview looking at places and neighborhoods. I will start where you suggested, thanks.
