It and the old auto shop are being redeveloped into mixed use space. In addition to the remodeling of the two existing buildings, a third building is going to be built in between them. The name of the project is Dogwood.

Right, the bank building and the larger building on the 3rd Ave corner will be remodeled.

I’m liking the look of this place from the plans! I pass by that area every day when I drive down to my internship at WRBL, and that would certainly help to make the area look better.

Those renderings appear to have been imagining a Pure Taqueria as the new build, haha. Don't think that will happen now. Hopefully the building will be similar though, because it's really nice.

Regarding the bank building, the way I heard it the plan is to make that space available for a couple retail shops on ground floor and office space on the 2nd.

I've been in a couple of banks that have been repurposed into pretty cool restaurants...so who knows??
