Decided to drive the whole 10 minutes to Ouray this morning, wander around and take some photos. Cloudy, a bit cool and light sprinkles.

Ok Jim, why did you have to say that you're only 10 minutes away Ouray before you show those gorgeous photos, huh? Why pierce my heart? Eww, I'm so green with envy of you.....it's horrible of me I know. Envy is a sin. Thank you, thank you, thank you for those beautiful shots! In the midst of my hectic life here in NYC it's pics like yours which make me feel so much better because it reminds me of the many times I've been in Colorado and enjoyed seeing the mountains. Can't wait to get back.

Well living in Ridgway, it dawned on me Ouray was just down the road a few minutes away. Kinda cool.

I love Ouray, thanks for the pictures.
If you live in the 4J trailer park, you can walk in two minutes to the hot springs, and of course the mountains are in your face. On the other hand, it gets dark around 1p, I'm told, because of the mountains.
It's a neat town.

Oh a 3 year old post of mine! I miss being able to drive to Ouray in a few minutes now that I moved to Delta. I could never live there, too boxed in for me and the tourists would drive me insane, way too crowded in summer.
