I am hoping to find some overnight 'to do' with my 11 year old son that he would REALLY enjoy in mid July (only a few weeks away!!). We unfortunatley have only 2 or 3 nights and it seems most trips are longer than that.

I have to drive to Denver for a few days (from Los Angeles) and was going to take him along. After, I wanted to find somewhere in between here and there that we could do together that he would be a great memory for both of us. Maybe hiking, camping, horse back riding, rafting. Something that he would really dig.

Ideally want to be somewhere that isnt too hot during the day.

And most importantly, I am pretty wimpy in terms of camping, etc ... so we would want to be apart of an organized group that 'does it all' for us, so we have very little planning to do besides just showing up.

Would love some suggestions in Colorado, Utah or Arizona ... if anyone knows of any!!

I think this place fits the requirement quite well. Been there, loved it, highly recommend it.

Maybe rent a cabin by a river in the mountains west of Denver? I can't recommend any particular ones because I don't use them, but I see them around.
