My family and I are considering moving to Castle Rock and were wondering if there were any churches there that seem to be vibrant and have an impact in the community. I would like to be a part of a church that makes a difference in its community and is involved in helping meet the needs of its community. Thanks for any info.

Though we live in Highlands Ranch, we go to Heritage Evangelical Free Church in Castle Rock. It is a very active church and they had just moved into a brand new facility late last year. They have an Awana program and a very active youth program as well. Many members of our adult Sunday School class are heavily involved in missions work. We started attending there over the summer and were made to feel very welcome.

The church website is at http://www.heritageefc.net/ if you'd like to get more info.

I live in CR. There are actually a lot of churches that make a difference. In fact, the church community (all denominations), have gotten together to form a community store and outreach called the Task Force. It really is nice to see them all work together.

I attend St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, so they are the only one I know specific information about. They provide many outreach programs in the community, including food drives, programs for the poor, adopt-a-family, mother programs, mens spiriturality, and supper clubs, to name a few.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "solid groups". There are several churches around the Castle Rock area, some are really active and some less so. It depends on what denomination you are looking for, then it is a matter of checking out each to see which is the best fit for you and your family.

We tried several churches in the Highlands Ranch, Englewood, and Centennial areas before settling on Heritage EFC in Castle Rock over the summer. So far, it has been the best fit for our whole family and they are active in the community and with missions.

Absolutely. There are some great churches in all areas of Douglas County. It is extrememly personal. All churches will allow you to visit, see them, hear them, talk to them...go with one that *feels* special to you.

How did you pick the one you attend now?
