Does anyone know of anyone/facility that offers private adult swim lessons in COS?

Thanks.

The YMCA teaches (http://www.ppymca.org/aquatics - broken link) people of all ages, suggest call them about private lessons or go talk to instructor, who'll probably do it on the side or knows someone who will. I know that Bally Fitness and Villa Sport both have pools, give them a call and see if they can help. IIRC, there may be some public park pools in COLO SPGS who also might have some lessons. A long shot, but try craigslist.

Widefield Park and Rec has some adult classes, but I don't know about how private they are or when they are.

I belong to Gold's Gym and they do offer swim lessons there, even adult, but my wife being older is a bit self conscious and would prefer only her and the instuctor with no one else able to watch easily.

Needless to say, I'm still looking...

Thanks for the replies so far.

Outside the Y you may want to check with the Colorado Springs Racket Club. You will need to be a member (I am sure) but it's a cool facility...my bro used to be a member and inmy teens I took my SCUBA lessons in their pool. I'd say Lynmar but I don't recall if they've updated their pool since the 80s. I live across the street now but haven't been there since I was a kid.

Otherwise you are looking at the expensive private clubs like Colorado Springs Country Club, Country Club of Colorado, etc...

I see this thread is pretty old, but Donna's Dolphins swim school teaches lessons for both adults and children (Smitty91- might even be able to work it out so your wife is the only one in the pool), and also one of the trainers at Ballys on South Academy just recently started offering lessons)
