I've done some online research and there are some pretty negative reviews on yellow cab here in town.

Can anyone suggest a reliable cab or shuttle service to get to the airport??

Tks

That's weird. I usually see a row of them parked out front when I'm walking in.

Getting you to the airport, that may be a different story.

But that's the quickest most efficiently run little airport that I've seen yet.

I love small airports... um... if I have to travel.

I know many who park at a hotel and then take the hotel shuttle. The car stays in the hotel parking lot. Many do this in Denver and Springs. I have never done it myself personally...but I guess some do.

Sprangers,

I highly recommend Dan's Towncar Service (719-499-3481) if you're traveling to the COS or Denver Airports.

If you've got an early departure and don't trust cab companies, give them a call. I recently had a very early flight departing from COS. I'd never used a car service before. I called and spoke directly to "Dan" and arranged a pick-up from my home.

A car pulled up to my driveway at precisely 6am. The car was immaculate inside and out. The driver was a gentleman named Tim. He was very personable and courteous. I was dropped off at the departure desk for my airline. It's a flat rate $35, plus tip.

I called them on my way home and another driver picked me up at baggage claim and dropped me off at my door.

Very personal service, very courteous and on-time.

I've traveled extensively and tend not to trust cab companies because I've been "forgotten" before and that's a horrible feeling when you've got a plane to catch.

If you travel often and prefer to leave and return from your home, call Dan. You can also charter a car to take you just about anywhere....not just airports.

what are folks experience with leaving their car at the hotel (say, clarion on bijou) for 5 days while using the shuttle to cos airport? wondering if my car will get towed by the hotel?

Do you mean after having stayed at the hotel? If you're staying there, just tell them what you're up to, and give them you're license plate number and your depature/return dates and they won't tow it. I often do this with airport hotels if I have a very early morning flight to catch and are making a lengthy stay.

If you're not staying there, then all bets are off as to what might happen. It's surely not worth the risk.

I usually drive myself to the airport and leave the car at the airport until I return.

i live in COS so, no i would not be staying at the hotel. i need to get from COS to DIA though....and the point of the shuttle to DIA is because I dont have a ride to DIA, let alone a ride to the hotel at 5 am. kind of a rock and a hard place.
