To me, making an excuse for problems like this isn't necessary. I want to do something without an excuse like a drug or life. I want to do this on my own.

It's funny that you said this, because I find that I spend way more time on here during study times! It seems so innocent wanting to spend a few minutes reading the forum, but before you know it hours have gone by...

Good advice here. If you continue to do school work at work, make a plan of attack. Don't just do whatever assignment you have due soon. Whittle your readings down to size into small chunks. Limit what you do at work to reading in short bursts interactively with a pen in hand. Read the beginning and end of chapters, then read the first sentence of every paragraph along with key questions if it's a textbook. Then go back to the beginning and read while underlining, taking notes, starring key points, and marking up the margins with your thoughts, impressions, or questions. Read in short bursts actively instead of trying to gobble up entire chapters at once passively. I wouldn't try to write a paper while at work or anything, but this method helped me begin to think about and absorb the material until later when I could sit down in peace and quiet and organize my thoughts on paper when I was working and going to school.

Maybe the poster means it will add balance to your life.

I feel for you. I had the exact same problem and didn't find a solution. Very frustrating job + school = didn't want to deal with anything when I got home. Now I'm not working (not necessarily by choice) and it's better for my sanity to not have my worries split in two directions...then again my schoolwork is 10,000x harder...
