Im going to graduate next year in business management next year but I when I try finding for a temporary job for my school holiday.
I do not see where I can go..not bank or marketing but into places which I am not interested in like telcom. .
I really dont what to do now and hope someone can advise me.
Thanks
I used to work in a cafe restaurant as a front line but it wasnt what I wanted. .probably I want a back of hse job. ..I dont expect to start from the top, I dun mind starting from the lowest
I don't mean waitress in the restaurant I meant something else.
They do have accountants and things like that.
I've never worked that part of the restaurant or hotel business so I am unsure exactly what the position would be called.
Perhaps call around and ask the owner of a hotel or restaurant or the department that does the hiring.
You might look into bigger department stores as well, they have those type of positions.
The reality is that, unless you have an "in", you likely won't find something in Business Management for your school break. Why would a company hire you and start to train you its way of operation, only to see you leave in a couple or three weeks when your holiday is over?
So you still have 10? credits remaining before you graduate? Id DEFINITELY change majors right now to accounting or finance and bring that GPA up as high as possible if you want a job out of college. Otherwise enjoy working at Starbucks.

Your post is not very clear. When you say "holiday" are you talking about a summer internship or do you mean two weeks over Spring break?
I'd suggest going to your colleges Career Services and get some help from them. At most colleges now they have people whose sole job is to help students find internships and jobs. They should be able to point you in the right direction and help you with your resume if you need that help too.

Restaurants are also a good place to start from what I understand.
Even in the best of times no one went to work as a general manager with a fresh degree right out of college. It takes time to work your way up as you gain experience to go along with the degree. Any business that hires short-term temporary help is going to be entry level minimal training low wages,
not anything that uses your education unless you can find an internship.
