You do bring up a good point about defenses.

The game with Alabama ought to be a good one, and I do think Florida makes it to the SEC championship game. Who wins? I dunno, but it'll be good to watch.

I think a good defense can stop a good offense any day. a good offense tends to get into a rhythm. you stop that rhythm and force a couple of turnovers, it will snowball. the gators hung 60 points on every team they faced in 96. then they played nebraska and got destroyed. that was back when nebraska played good defense and ate up clock running all over you. if an offense can't get onto the field, they can't get into rhythm.

I think this remains to be seen. I want to see a an SEC team stop a big XII offense. I have been going back and looking at the Big XII vs SEC and it seems to pretty much be 50-50 as who won. I think this year the Big XII offense is just the best it has been in some time. I'm am praying for a Texas vs Bama National Championship.

you don't want that. bama is a team that texas doesn't match up with that well. they are ball control, run the ball, and control the line. they won't get involved in a shootout because they can't compete. I would love to see florida play texas. I am a homer, and think the gators would destroy them. texas has the offense, but florida has the offense, special teams, and defense. they also seem to have a particularly nasty deposition after the ole miss loss as well. did you watch the fla vs. kentucky game? jeff demps (#2) is the fastest player in college. not college football, in college. that includes track stars.

We control the ball, just because we throw it doesn't mean we don't win the time of possession game.

This is your typical SEC is unstoppable and no one can beat us mentality. I would LOVE to play Florida, who is going to stop the best DE in college Orkapo from planting Tebow? Speed is nice and everything but when your run track speed into a wall where do you go? I would hope to see either Texas vs SEC and Oklahoma vs SEC. We can finally put an end to this SEC is the best confrence talk.

Sorry jmarquise, I think the SEC loses either of those matchups (against Texas or OU).

The Big XII, and most notably, Texas has proven they are a great team (this is coming from an OU fan).

I think Texas or OU would match up very well against any team from the SEC, and ultimately win.

I didn't say that no one could stop them, but the fact is, the SEC has two NC's in a row. the best DE in college football is michael johnson from georgia tech. who will stop 6'4" 248lb orkapo from planting tebow? I think 6'3" 240lb tim tebow would stop it himself. speed doesn't run into walls, it runs around walls. speed is just one aspect that they use. they have plenty of size and power. the speed sure helps them with the intangibles, such as the best special teams in ALL of college football.

I'll be rooting for a Big XII SEC matchup so we can put it all to rest, no excuses.

I don't one game would really prove anything either way. I think the Big 12 south is really dominant this year and several teams would put away almost every other SEC team.
