I think we clearly saw the former. Not to take anything away from TCU, but they didn't beat the Ole Miss that beat Alabama and Miss State, the beat the bumbling team that got whooped by Arkansas.

TCU fans make a good argument for why the playoff should include more teams. Perhaps TCU is the best team. But they most certainly did not deserve one of 4 playoff spots. If they had been the Big 12 champion, they'd have a better argument. But if the Big 12 had bothered to name a champion, it would have been Baylor.

We have to recognize how fortunate we are to have the 4 team playoff this year. While there is much fighting over who deserved that 4th spot, at least we aren't fighting over just 2 spots like in the past. It would have been inexcusable to shut out FSU, the only undefeated team and defending champion. Most of the FSU bashing is predicated on the ACC being a weak conference. After Old Miss and LSU's loss, the SEC's dominance is being called into question. We'll see what happens with MSU vs. GT. When all is said and done, we may find the ACC is the dominate conference.
Like sec the acc is a southern conference. So either way the south dominates college football.

The sec is overrated.

The only good team is Alabama and they lost to the same ole miss team that got destroyed by TCU. All those teams the media hyped up(LSU/Texas A/M/auburn/Miss state/Ole Miss/Georgia) all turned out to be Frauds

TCU is a southern team to me. Even though they are not in the sec.

a&m was actually expected to win 7 games this year. But of course after they lit up south carolina and since they are in the sec and they are a traditional Texas team the media hyped them up. I think a&m will be good in a few years. And let's not forget most of a&ms starters are true freshman. So they get a pass in my book.

TCU is a solid team but to keep it real, Ole Miss was not the number one team in the conference. Baylor against Mich St is probably a more even matchup.

Whenever College Football decides to go to six or eight teams, I will care. They should have added six or eight in the first place, but went with four, which was stupid, but as usual, with college football, by design. Why start off on the right foot when you can blow your toe off?

Because they are in the SEC, they'er seen as "unbeatable".

It's a big deal when teams in that conference win. So it should be a big deal when they lose as well. It's only fair...

Ole Miss did beat the top team in the sec, and TCU beat ole Miss far worse than any team they faced, it was a joke of a game. Ole Miss retained their ranking because of their sec performance in what's looking like a slightly over rated conference.

Ole Miss also lost 30 to 0 to...Arkansas, 6 win team. Not saying that TCU isn't an impressive team but to be real, Baylor has a stronger argument than TCU. They lost to WVU, so any given weekend....
