There's no way this conference can bring any value to its future members without BSU.

Praise the lord! Now maybe SDSU will learn from there mistake and stay aswell! The Big 12 needs to do some picking before it gets left behind.

Not only will SDSU likely opt out of the Big East, but Navy too. RIP Big East, indeed.

The Future of the Big East essentially is what was Conference USA.

Cincy
UConn
USF
UCF (2013) - C-USA
Houston (2013) - C-USA
Memphis (2013) - C-USA
SMU (2013) - C-USA
Temple (2013) - A-10
Tulane (2014) - C-USA
ECU (football) (2014) - C-USA
Navy (football) (2015) - Indy

When San Diego St pulls out, look to them trying to take either Charlotte or Tulsa (future member/member of Conference USA).

I have a feeling a U of H (and maybe SMU) will get picked up by the Big XII in the offseason.

Cincy was also in C-USA from 1996-2004 and USF was there from 2003-2004.

Big 12 should pick up Tulane, SMU, Houston and also Memphis for basketball.

Just add Tulsa and we'll kick out WV and all the northern schools and we can have a revamped Southwest Conference!.....never going to happen.

These programs don't bring in enough money. Only big time football schools bring in the dough. That's what realignment is all about....TV sets. Houston, if it could ever become more than a commuter campus and tapped in a significant majority of the Houston population would have a shot.....but it's a long shot.

BYU, Florida State, Virginia Tech, NC State, Clemson are legitimate options. The Big XII should swing for the fence. Maybe settle for Georgia Tech or UCF if one of the above doesn't come along. Anything less than the programs would be a serious downgrade from losing Nebraska (one of the biggest brands/fan bases in college football) and A&M.

(Notice I didn't include Mizzou or Colorado. Nobody cares they moved on.)

Big East is not going anywhere they are reorganizing under a different name, as the ACC.

Think the Big XII should go after Air Force?
