Who is the main rival of your favorite college football team? Does it have any secondary rivalries, as well? are there basketball rivalries that differ from its football rivalries?

Most Notre Dame fans would probably say USC is their most hated rival but honestly I kind of have a soft spot for USC from my time living in SoCal. My most hated rival is definitely Michigan. I cannot stand them. We also have a rivalry (which will be renewed this year) with Miami but most of those games happened either prior to my birth or when I was very young.

Well it appears you don't have to deal with Michigan over the next 3 years:

Notre Dame cancels scheduled games with Michigan in 2015-17

My team is Colorado State University - Pueblo and their rival use to be University of Nebraska at Kearney. However they left the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and to be honest everyone left in the conference is not really a challenge. Also, the football program is only 4 years old so they are still developing a rival as of now though there is not really any one team that stands out.

TCU for football:

SMU (Main Rival, "Battle for the Iron Skillet")
Baylor
Texas Tech (formerly "The West Texas Championship")
Boise State (media-made)

In that order.

on the other hand, at 3-0, you've already won this year's big ten championship.

As far as football is concerned, Texas Tech doesn't really have a main rival. Many years ago Tech apparently had a rivalry with Baylor for a period of time and as JJG mentioned above, they had a rivalry with TCU at one time but that was many years ago. In recent years they've tried to re-invent the old rivalry with Baylor by having the annual game with Tech at a neutral site in DFW (mostly at Jerry World), but that old rivalry hasn't been re-kindled. It's just another game on the schedule to most Tech fans. Now that TCU is in the Big 12, it'll be interesting to see if the old secondary rivalry between TCU and Tech will be re-ignited. In recent years there was somewhat of a secondary rivalry between Texas Tech and Texas A&M, however, Texas A&M always considered Texas to be their main rival when they were in the SWC and Big 12. Texas Tech fans don't like Texas either but no true rivalry has ever developed between the two schools, probably mostly because Tech rarely beats them...lol. As a Texas Tech alumnus and fan I've always somewhat envied other schools that have long-standing archrivals like Texas-OU, TCU-SMU, Florida-Georgia, Alabama-Auburn, etc.

Agreed. Auburn is still the number one rival, but the hatred for Tennessee was great back several years ago, but then they got weak. Now LSU is in the picture to take the place of Florida.
