To fans of other teams, this would be no surprise. But with Mack Brown and the loyalty (or stubbornness) he has shown in the past, this was far from a given after the BYU game. Glad it happened, though! Best for everyone.
Case McCoy and David Ash listed as co-starters.
IMO, Case McCoy showed the most football smarts. Even when things didn't go his way, he did the right things to avoid a mistake and kept plays going. This trait is similar to Applewhite and Colt, and as we've seen it is certainly not something to be taken for granted. You can have an excellent physical QB and that person can be totally wrong for the team. Texas is loaded up with so many good athletes, the main thing they need at QB is someone who manages the game, gets the ball to those athletes and doesn't make stupid mistakes. Case McCoy is that guy, IMO. Just don't make mistakes and we win 9 games this season.

I agree.
Mack's biggest fault has been his handling of some of the QBs....and sticking with stale assistant coaches.
I agree. You never know what's going to happen with Texas and OU. I would NOT place bets, especially given how OU couldn't pull away last year (and we were PATHETIC last year).
We're number 10 in the coaches poll. If we beat OU this weekend, we'll be at LEAST in the top 5. And if we beat OK State the week after that, we'll be top 3. Getting to the BCS title with a bunch of Freshman doesn't seem so out of the reach right now.
I don't think this OU team is as good as the ones that have produced blowouts in the past. I don't expect them to lose, but I think they won't win by more than 10 points and probably less.
What's so funny? Why couldn't it happen? Auburn went from ranked 24 to the national championship last year. Our schedule favors us. Damn near ever-team that was(and is) ahead of us are surely overrated. We moved up a couple of spots after beating Iowa State, imagine how far we'd be after beating OU?
