Never heard of this, but I'll take it. We need more positive things like that. It is hard to believe the "doom and gloom" crowd, with outside spectators giving awards like that.

I only went there once. It seemed expensive, but the drinks were very good and they used good liquor, not the typical Aristocrap that other places use. I never ate there, but I wanted to. It was nice to have a little bit more "upscale" type of place that was downtown, instead of just typical college bars playing rap music.

The outside spectators have never been here. You apply to become a Playful City USA. Here are the requirements.

Communities become Playful City USA communities by meeting five commitments.

1: Create a local play commission task force

2: Design an annual action plan for play

3: Conduct a playspace audit of all publicly accessible play areas

4: Identify current spending on capital projects and maintenance of playspaces

5: Proclaim and celebrate an annual "KaBOOM! Play Day"

Bump and it seems they are progressing on the new Greenway. I passed Green Mill Run on 5th today and saw the trees are cleared beside the creek. Good progress

Wimpies in winterville has closed. Though it's b/c the owner sold and will re-open as something else. Shame. It's the only restaurant I've ever seen that was BYOB.

Wimpies may be closed but the Copper and Vine is now open.

"The extensive wine list features more than 100 selections, as well as craft beers with an emphasis on local breweries. "
