They are presumably doing a blow out sale on old videos, right? I'll have to check that out.

I noticed yesterday that some extensive renovations are occurring at the old Frat house on the corner of W 5th St (MLK), Albemarle Ave and Elizabeth St...across from the Phi Kappa Tau house. Anyone know if it will be used again as a Frat house?

As well, it looks like there was a relatively massive fire on the next block over on 5th and Contentnea St. Completely destroyed an old Victorian home, so it appears it will be a vacant lot soon. The rest of the block was already vacant.

Foundation/footers are coming along on the Federal Courthouse on Reade Circle.

The Owner of Bone Fish told us last night that it is official that PF Chang's have contracted to move in next to The Fresh Market. Carabba's will be down near the Mall & Olive Garden, he did not mention the location.

why does Carabba's want to be near the Olive Garden? they should stay out by Kohl's too...both restaurants can exist in this town...hope they don't run them out of business.

Perhaps Carabba's is going in the old O'Charley's?

jPirate I agree with you completely & so does BF owner. He said that Corporate made the decision to go near the Mall because they didn't want the sister restaurant (Carabba's to be that close. My husband asked if they were going into the old O'Charley's building, but he said he was not sure. The people in Olive Garden have heard the same thing and are not pleased. No one can still figure out why a Mattress Factory is going to be built around all of these restaurants. He said that eventually it will be restaurant row all around BF.

Also, we went to the Vet the other day & he told us that he & some other Investors met in Raleigh a couple of months ago to discuss taking over the Home Depot building to make into a mini-independent Mall. They were told that it is quite a secret but Costco already has the building. I have not been able to confirm or find anything on this.

Are we seriously getting an Original Mattress Factory? If so that is freaking awesome. I've always wanted to shop there but figured they wouldn't deliver from Raleigh.

The Home Depot building and property was bought by LRC Development of Akron OH last June for $2,250,000. LRC usually deals with big companies like Walmart. They are also known to work with Auto Zone but that would be the world's biggest auto parts store.
