Manteo's a safer choice for kids. If you live on the beach chances are they'll get into drugs in middle school since that's the only thing to do during winter when everything's closed.
Any and All information and suggestions are welcome! 48 year old retired female living off $2000.00 per month. Looking to rent-for the fact of hurricanes. My monthly bills will include: rent, vehicle/renters insurance, utilities.....Looking into the Manteo (Roanoke Island) area. Will be moving from the state of Michigan where I have lived my entire life.
Any info on approximate cost on any of the above. Living conditions: such as storms, days without sunlight, mold mildew, wildlife and insects.....temperatures in January and other important months...Plus I have 2 medium size dogs, any concerns for their safety.
