East Carolina University continued its work to provide safe zones on campus by identifying restrooms that are gender-neutral and single-occupancy. This response was made possible for transgender and alternate gender identity people by the LGBT Resource Office.

Yeah, these transgender types face a difficult issue from time to time. Good to see they are being accommodated even with the 16% reduction to the UNC system's funding.

We used to have a contractor whose gender was somewhat nebulous. Some days this way, other days, that way. One day, I was chatting up a secretary (no question of her gender, by the way) and the contractor came up and asked directions to the restroom. The secretary said, "Which one?" before she caught her self. Talk about awkward....

App State did this a few years back but mostly they just re-purposed the handicapped-accessible single use restrooms, i.e. they stuck up a few signs.
