hmm...interesting to hear your opinion on lacrosse. I definitely understand the sentiment of the statement. Unfortunately Basketball and Football tend to be portrayed at times in a negative light since some of the people whom have risen to fame as good/great players have come from the proverbial wrong side of the tracks and bring it with them instead of leaving it behind.

I didnt hear about the fight in NYC but doesnt surprise me, which I guess would be a bad thing. I personally went to high school in Twinsburg and knew some people in Solon so I can attest to usually the worst that happens is trash talk maybe a little shoving but nothing to that level.

If you were back in the city (Cleveland proper) I could see more concern about the danger of those things but Twinsburg and Solon Police usually keep a good rein on things to prevent breakdowns like that.

Best of luck to you though where ever you should land. Anyone of those 5 cities are excellent choices in the NE Ohio area.

Not to question you or anything because you seem to know what you are talking about, but why is Solon a better school than Hudson? If Hudson is more affluent and has less minorities (no offense), I would think Hudson would have superior education.
I'm basing that solely on number of National Merit Finalists. Solon has had 46 in the last three years and Hudson, with virtually the same enrollment, has had 25. The other markers are pretty much dead even. It's probably not even a concern, I just had the information so I gave it.

Your kids being involved in lacrosse would indeed shift the balance over to Hudson. It's far ahead of the other four high schools in that sport.

No I do not want to keep them away from it, I just do not want them having to worry about thugs taking cheap shots at them like you saw in the Georgia Tech game this year. I love football, I watch it every weekend, and I want my kid to play football. But I still would like my kids to have involvement in lacrosse.

Send your kids to private schools if you can afford it.

Just so you know, while countrywide lacrosse coverage is very slim, it is quite popular in Ohio (more popular in the Columbus area but still popular in the Cleveland area) and especially Hudson. Hudson and the private school located in Hudson, Western Reserve Academy, are both some of the top lacrosse schools in Ohio. However, there is very little diversity. Hudson is still reletively close to Cleveland and quite close to Akron. The downtown area is very nice and is well used by the town. Crime is virtually non existent and the schools are top in the area. I wholeheartedly reccomend this town.
