So, I'm checking out Shaker Square because I'm preparing myself for living pretty close to the area.

I was surprised at all the restaurants that are there. You also have CVS Pharmacy, Shaker Square Cinemas, and a pretty well-known coffee shop(Dewey's).

There's also a Goodwill on the Shaker/Van Aken intersection, not to mention the Blue/Green line rapid station.

I'm gonna say the best places there(to me) are Dewey's, Dave's, and Yours Truly Restaurant.

I am so glad you see the "Square "as being cool , It trully is a Cleveland landmark, past Stores included ,Halle Brother's Department Store , ( and yes Halle B got her name from guess where ,)Stoffer's (yes , That frozen brand of food found in the Supermarket ( does anyone ever call them that any more ) The Colony Theater , And that famous Record Store , I do not remember the Name , but was important , in bringing name acts to town ,and of course Hough Bakery were my Grandmother , worked ,For me to see those ladies , tying up the boxes , of pastieries just bought , with those strings up on the wall , and how quickly it was done , was part of the charm , and to think , of all those kid memories , makes me smile , Make ur own , past it along !(

The Halle's bldg on the Square is actually a registered landmark if you can believe that.
