Hi all,

I recently posted here about a neighborhood check, but I have another semi-related question - how hard is it/is it even possible to find a location that would accept 3 cats?

I have 2 cats, which many places will accept, but I know most draw the line at 3. However, I'd like to take one of my parents cats with me for several months. He's recently been diagnosed with a serious form of anemia and needs a lot of high-tech hospital care. My parents live about 4 hours from the closest teaching vet hospital that has the needed facilities (Auburn), but in Cleveland I'd be just an hour away from OSU which I hear has a great vet school. So ideally I would keep him for a few months until he has recovered and then send him home with my parents.

I'm just wondering how feasible it is to find an accommodating landlord. I have references for living with 1 cat before, always got back my full pet deposit and so forth, but I know some may not even consider me with 3 cats. Any ideas on how to approach the situation? Are landlords desperate enough to allow 3 cats, perhaps with an extra refundable deposit?

Edit - Hm, for some reason I thought OSU was in Akron, but its actually 2.5 hours away in Columbus. So this probably won't work anyway.
