Detroit is gully with high crime though (sorry slang still in my head lol).

Detroit is like semi-abandoned so I think they'll fight with nothing to lose, they'll go kamikaze mode. Winter would also work in their favor.

The auto manufacturing could easily turn into weapons manufacturing like the U.S. did with other manufacturing companies in WWI or WWII.

I think Detroit would be victorious.

Detroit would destroy most cities.

Unlike most urban centers in America, Detroit has a different character amongst the people. You're far less likely to find a sickly looking vegan with a college degree on Telegraph than you would be to find one say... in New York.

However, most of the population of Detroit is armed and already proven themselves dangerous :P Bring it!

Plus, Detroit likely has the support of other midwestern cities. I'm positive Buffalo and a few other rust belt cities would be down for kicking some Texan ass

true but i would create a propaganda program with the headline "HELP WANTED" or ''NOW HIRING'' pointing to a warehouse where i would draw them in by the hundreds of thousands.

then i would ambush them and crush them.
