Lol at Bmore having 600-800 murders a year.

Anyway, I read that as of late July, Houston was sitting at 90. Don't know what it is now but that's still incredibly low for a city of 2 million that late in the year.

I'm not sure about London though, especially with whats happened there lately. I have heard however with even recent statistics, that London which is roughly the same population as NYC, as about 1/5 the number of murders as NY (London has about 100+/- annually, NYC about 500+/-), and NYC is also ranked among the lowest crime rate per capita among American cities.

^ yeah, European cities have murder rates that are normally around 0.5/100,000 to 2.0/100,000. I think some of the highest rates in Europe are about 3.5/100,000.

American cities are anywhere from 4.0/100,000-50.0/100,000.

Strange when you think of the different contexts we live in. Here in the USA, NYC is a shining example of a large city with a very low murder rate. Meanwhile in Europe, NYC would be their most violent city.

I'm guessing that the cities with the higher rates are in Eastern Europe. Paris is also considered relatively dangerous by European standards.
