When I went to New York, I really hated it. Our meals included a $46 bill for Olive Garden, (twice as much as the bill in Texas) a pizza in which we had to stand up eating because the dining room upstairs was being mopped, and a restaurant in which everyone hurried you to get your food. I have to honestly say, the $1 hot dog I bought on the street corner was the best meal I had in NYC.
Why, why, why would you eat at an Olive Garden when visiting NYC? Did you think it was going to taste any better/different than it does in Texas?

You visited the city that has the best Italian food in the US, I'm really curious as to why you would go to an Olive Garden?

I miss Portillos! I love their Italian strawberry shortcake.

I believe the rule is that you can't put ketchup on a hot dog if you are over 13 years of age...

I like the New York style hotdog more because it can be offered plain with nothing on it, whereas if you order a plain dog in Chicago you might get funny looks.

Yea right......................... You've never had an "Italian Hot Dog" from Newark, stop lying. You've never had a "Ripper" from Rutts Hut.
So corny. Stop acting like you know what what your talking about.
Jersey Hot Dogs > NYC. Period.

I'm not an Olive Garden fan myself, but I was 8 at the time. I had no decision in where my family went to eat.

You remembered the bill price of $46 dollars exactly when you were 8 years old? Did your parents make you pay? Or did they save it as a souvenir. Something isn't adding up...

I don't like hotdogs to begin with but I really don't like those extra hotdogs with all that extra stuff on it, I only like ketchup. Sausages in general are just nasty to me. Not being a homer but I choose NY hotdogs, I haven't had an off the street hot dog in a good 5+ years though. If I HAD to eat one I'd choose the NY one.
