This thread is older than my dead grandmother, started back when Philly was (apparently) nothing more than a giant parking lot full of crack addicts; can't we leave it buried?

Victory for SF regarding what?

Certainly not the overall positive impact, importance and weight bearing influence that each respective city has had on the USA becoming what it has.

In the grand scheme of things SF is irrelevant in comparison to Philadlephia. SF is Biff vander bach Rockefeller vii who found a nice piece of real estate to blow his trust fund on. Philadelphia is John D Rockefeller who made it all possible.

Philadelphia had very little if any historical influence on the West, in fact its importance was merely residual by the time the Gold Rush occurred.
