Food- Detroit, I guess. Last time I checked, neither are known for food, but Detroit has a large amount of independent restraunts. Also, from what I've seen, everything in Dallas is supersized or covered in grease.
Weather- Detroit. I'm not a huge fan of 105 degrees and 99.99999% humidity.
Transportation- Both suck miserably. Epic fail. My vote goes to Chicago.
-30 degrees isn't exactly idea weather either.

Detroit has light rail, too. It's called the people mover. Both are laughable.

When the all the DART lines are complete, it will be anything but laughable. You will be able to access most of the city by it. It wont be as good as what Chicago, NYC, or DC has, but it will be better than what most cities in the US offer.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Dallas has 48 miles of Light Rail track in place and is expanding greatly. They currently handle 61,000 riders on a typical weekday. They also have commuter rail (Trinity Railroad Express) connecting Ft. Worth & Dallas.

Detroit's People Mover is not Light Rail. It is under 2 miles in length, and is more akin to an airport or amusement park train system. It is referred to by locals as "The train to nowhere."
