So I have a question. How does one pick up chicks or go out on dates in a major city using public transportation?

1. Pick your date up.
2. Look for a train station.
3. Walk underground.
4. Read the subway map, find your location, find your train.
5. Stand and wait on the train platform and look out for the correct train.
6. Once the train stops and the doors open, enter and take a seat.
7. Once you've reached your stop, get out and exit the station.
8. You've arrived at your destination.

That doesn't sound romantic at all. Also, what about picking chicks up at bars and stuff?

Never been to NYC but LA traffic is awful. I don't drive actual LA every often because I hate LA. I drove through LA last night around 830...I hit traffic. I mean, Sunday night traffic? Maybe it was an accident but it was stand still. I was it for just a few miles before I quickly switched freeways.

LA traffic is really based upon if you are wealthy. If you are wealthy, you don't have to fight traffic because well...not as many wealthy people are driving.

Both cities have terrible traffic. While I think LA highways carry a greater volume of traffic, they are generally better equiped to handle the heavy traffic. New York on the other hand, is very limited in terms of space and many of the highways remain only three lanes in each direction.

As a matter of fact, there is an interesting article in the NY Times recently about the Cross-Bronx Expressway:

On Bronx Stoops, a Highway Hell Entertains - NYTimes.com

Highlights:
- Carries 184,000 cars / day
- 4 of the 10 worst bottlenecks in the U.S. on the Cross Bronx, including the dubious honor of having the #1 worst bottleneck
- Congested 94 hours per week
- Average speed 11.4 miles per hour

LA has the worst traffic, but NY isnt far off.

Heck if NYC wasnt so blessed with great mass transit, then it would be impossible to drive in. (and yes then NY would have the worst traffic)
