Brockton MA has to be the city with the most "shots fired/car shot up/house shot up/shell casings recovered" but no victim shootings i've ever heard of. There's a shooting like that virtually 2 times a week.
The Bronx and Camden NJ... relatively lower murder rates for the amounts of boom shots fired.
At least for the Bronx I know a shooting isn't counted as a shooting incident unless someone gets hit. So say the Bronx had 20 shooting incidents in the month of January, the actual shootings may be twice that. It's just that those 20 incidents led to someone getting shot.

A shooting isn't called a shooting unless someone gets hit most places MA included. That being said the Bronx and Camden seem like places where more shots would be fired than you'd think given how 'few' people die or even get hit...the Bronx especially

Probably Hartford it have most shootings in New England after Boston then Bridgeport, Springfield, New Haven, Providence, Brockton, Waterbury, Lawrence Worcester, Lynn, New Bedford, Holyoke, Lowell so on
Hartford CT 21 shot, Bridgeport 17, New Haven 4, Waterbury 4, Providence 4, Springfield 11, Holyoke 8
Under 50 shot in Providence last year historic low but robberies, assaults saw bit of uptick so far this year
In some places like Toronto the police reports on homicides chronologically, so murder number 12 for the year will have "2020-12" at the top of the news release.
In some cities like Montreal if you look at news reports on the latest murder, at the end they usually say "this was the Xth murder of the year on the territory covered by the SPVM..."
I guess that makes sense. You might think cities with the most murders would want to count them even more, but honestly in cities like Chicago, Philly, and Baltimore the number is changing every day of the year so it's kind of hard to keep track of. Most Canadian cities can usually count the number of murders on two hands.
The only large city in Canada with "limited diversity" is Quebec City, which has about 600,000 people. It can sometimes go up to 18 months without a single murder.
That's almost absurd. Do only old people live there or something? lol That literally must be statistically the safest city in the world.
