Lets start with San Antonio this southern city has a pop of 1.2million but nightlife is incredible with all the options of fun things to do.You have the river walk there, which is the best experience in the whole south. You get on a boat and go down through the most beautiful area of the city. You have live entertainment and resturants and lots of convient shopping, which make this a destination area. You have sea world which as a child I went to and love all the under life things I didn't never thought I would see in person.Last but not least the alamo which takes you on a tour of the historical part of the city over all a great vaction choice.New Orleans has its share with what I call the crazy fest on bourban st with the costumes and the beautiful sound of jazz music and the beads, such a beautiful/crazy experience.I love the cajun resturants there, that is the best taste of the south cajun cooking with fish, crab, oysters, crawfish etc.I love the downtown clubs/resturants,no party like New Orleans party.Basically to sum it up which city is more of a vaction spot for a weekend

This is a really good matchup. Both offer lots of things for visitors and just have lots to do. It's a tie for me!

I prefer NOLA but both are interesting. NOLA as a city is a more unique experience IMHO
