I would give that to houston, dont believe me drive through the city unbelieveable how construction has tooken over that city.I would argue that houston is 8 or 9million not a good count of the immigrants.

What "status" are these cities supposed to be emulating?

If you're trying to say that Houston really has a population near 8 million people because of immigrants that weren't counted then you are delusional.
