I can't help but feel like many cities had better skylines before the 50s and on.
And this is the case with Philly. I like their skyline much more back in the day than the present day. I just value older architecture to a greater degree and appreciate it more than modern day stuff. For example.. Toronto was extremely dense in the core, until the 60's rolled around and they began to demolish entire blocks of 19th century Victorians in favor of parking lots thanks to the rise of the automobile. That was taking a huge step backward, and I don't even think we've recovered from the losses today despite all the new construction.
I actually like Cleveland better today. There are more talls. Plus the Terminal Tower complex is a bit more impressive today too.
