We're relocating to Cincy in a couple of months. I'll be working right downtown. We are likely to live in No. Ky. How long is the commute from Florence? How about Highland Heights? Figure I'll be arriving at work at 9-9:30 and departing at 5:45. Thanks.

I would not live on the Kentucky side of the border there are many better places to live on the Ohio side of the border and because you are working in Cincinnati i think that would be better. Hang on i have to leave in a little bit but i will be back on and post more information for you.

I'll listen to what you have to say, but I'd also like your specific reasons for dismissing No. Ky. We have EXTREMELY specific house needs, due to disability (must be a true ranch with: >1800 sf, 2 car garage, 1st floor laundry, central air, and 2 baths); plus we used to live in Louisville and I came up to the area frequently - it's fine; PLUS we have relatives on the Ky side (Warsaw). Being near shopping is a big plus - we're not like the typical buyer who wants to get further out into the country. We're in central New Hampshire now and have had our fill of country living.

Ok sorry about not coming back quick enough. Look into places like Covedale, Bridgetown, Fairfax, Kenwood. But if you want shopping near the downtown look into Cherry Grove, Summerside, and my favorite Turpin Hills. And Warsaw, KY is very far from Cincinnati. Its about 45 mins away. Are you from Ohio or do you live in KY?

Neither. We are presently in NH. Nor do we want to live in Warsaw, just have reasonable access to there for the occasional visit (every week or two). Do any of the above towns have a good number of large ranches?

Do you want country or more city living? How about suburban living.

Suburban, or light city living. Country is not needed except we'll need a decent sized yard (3 dogs).

Also check out White Oak, Cheviot, and Covedale.

You could also look to Wyoming or Marimont on the Ohio Side.
The only isssue with the Ky side is that the traffic coming over the bridge is not fun at all at any time of the day. But there are plenty of people in my office in the Tri County area(45min to 1hr drive)that make the drive everyday and would not leave KY for anything. You can get way more house for your money on the KY side.
