There is a smoking ban in all of Ohio. You can't smoke in any public buildings including bars! As a non-smoker, even I think it ridiculous but many people like it. Kentucky does not have a ban.

I walked outside a Blockbuster Video store the other day, and there was actually a sign on one of the pillars of the shopping center that stated there was no smoking permitted outside! I was floored! I thought the ban only applied to inside establishments.

I'm not a smoker, but I truly think it's beyond pathetic to ban smoking OUTSIDE.

There is a smoking ban in Ohio...this sometimes extends further depending on the situation. For example the University of Cincinnati has had a smoking ban on campus not only inside all buildings, but also within 25 feet of any building entrance. Essentially you are able to smoke within designated areas only on campus.

As for Nky...there is no smoking ban as of yet, but the other major cities in KY have bans in place and right now it seems that Nky may not be far behind. From my understanding the new Ohio smoking ban has actually hurt businesses in Nky.

I won't go to bars in nky because they don't have the smoking ban. I stay in ohio.
