I think it was built at Reading and Seymour, with only 9 holes, but purchased the 18 hole course at Ridge and Galbraith in the late 60's/early 70's.

Picky, picky, picky.

No, that's historically accurate; I was trying not to engage in a goyguy ramble on that one. The strip mall which until recently included a Kroger's was named Hillcrest Plaza for that reason.

Thanks everyone. What I have read here and elsewhere makes me quite excited about Cincinnati for her...and possibly for us as we.

As the respondents have indicated, your daughter has many prospects for a career and living in Cincinnati while following her roots. If she is successful here maybe you should consider retiring in Cincy, there are far worse places to live.

You'd definitely be able to "buy up" with what your real estate dollar can command in Cincinnati as opposed to southern California. Southwest Ohio also has no earthquakes, mudslides (except the kind in glasses), or wildfires. And you'd undoubtedly find uproarious, as I do, the locals' kvetching about traffic jams and rude drivers. A different tune would be sung if they experienced life as a motorist in either of our cities.
A Jewish cultural wasteland Cincy is not, as you've probably already gathered. It's "the cradle of Reform Judaism" (thank you, Isaac Wise), and home to Hebrew Union College - which has what's said to be impressive archives if you're a history buff.
So plan on staying for a while if you visit to help your daughter move. Tour HUC on Clifton Ave and the grand Plum Street Temple downtown, go for a ride (with locked doors) up Reading Rd to see some of the old synagogues - now in new faith-community incarnations, poke around the successor synagogues lining Ridge Rd in Amberley between Galbraith and the Cross-County Highway, stop in at the JCC, etc etc. Enjoy the art museums, the world-class zoo, parks the likes of which are few and far between, and so on. Don't leave without trying at least one of the celebrated local ice creams - and some would also dictate a sampling of Cincinnati chili, though I pass on that one. And come back!

I thought I should throw this in, since a largely sectarian country club (though now "unrestricted" itself) would be a logical place to scout out spouse material. Even if that's not on the agenda, the OP's daughter would have a social-life option for meeting others like her whiich isn't tied in with a synagogue.
After the two clubs merged, they actually renamed the combined club "The Ridge Club". In 2010, the name was changed back to Losantiville Country Club.

I'm not glad to be found wrong, but happy to stand corrected.

Also, as I said, we are Jewish and, although, that doesn't make much difference to her, I would like her to have a chance at meeting and marrying a Jewish man. All thoughts are welcome.
The jewish populations tend towards the eastern and northern part of the city proper and the near-northern part of the metro area. You'll meet a lot of Jewish people here because there are a lot of jewish people here. I think it is quite easy to meet people if you live in a city neighborhood and try to get involved. It can be harder, I think, if you live in the burbs. There are a lot of transplants in the City. People like you, who have arrived here for P&G or any of the many other white collar jobs in Cincy.

Hear, hear! P & G is the reason I'm a native Cincinnatian and don't have a Southern accent.
