Speaking of that, I would like to own a '57 DeSoto Adventurer with a 345-Hemi/345 horsepower engine!
When I was just a teenager, my next door neighbor had a 56 Adventurer.
It was the black and gold.
What a beautiful car.
Somewhere I have a picture, and if I can find it,I will post it.
Bob.

A '56 Adventurer had 341-Hemi/320 horsepower engine and could reach 135 mph.
Yes, post a picture if you can find it.
As for the '58 Buick Limited, if I had a 20-car garage (and the funds to fill it with cars) one of them would be that car. Running or not. I would just pull up a chair and admire its acres of chrome!
I think we can all agree that the name "Charger" belongs on a 2 door hardtop muscle car meant for a young person who wants the feel of power and the wind in their hair.
Not everyone dislikes the Charger name on the sedan. Initially, when they came out with in for 2006, I did not like it. However, since then, I have warmed to it. other than the two extra doors, the Charger carries on the concept and tradition of Mopar RWD performance extremely well.
I would be happy to own one! (In fact, I would likely own one if it met my meager towing needs. However, with only a 1000 lb rating, it doesn't).
The Dodge Polara was the hot set-up for law enforcement in the 60's and early 70's. The new model Charger seems to fit the bill for police work, so why not dust off the iconic Polara name?
