How does this prove anything? Amazing how UR's take one simple verse and add their own spin to it. What does this verse really say? What else is said in relation to this verse?
Yes, Jesus was sent to be the Savior of the world but not all of the world accepts Him do they? As it PLAINLY says right here:
1 John 4:13-15
13We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.
See how you took this one verse completely out of context? What does it say here in verse 15? IF ANYONE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD!! The entire world is not going to be saved, only those who acknowledge and accept Jesus Christ.
Good grief, how many times do we have to keep going around this mountain?
Round and round until those who think others are going to hell put themselves there and realize it doesn't exist... could be a while...

Illene does it say or not say the son of man came to "seek and saves the lost" ?
The fundy's needs to come down from that mountain of doctrine you keep going around.
A Savior: A Person who Rescues another from Harm, Danger or Loss. One who Saves, Preserves or Delivers from Destruction.
What a Savior is Not: A Person who Didn't Rescues another from Harm, Danger or Loss. One who didn't Save, Preserve or Deliver from Destruction.
The Scriptures Declare that Christ is the Savior of the World ( All Men ).
Christ Cannot be the Savior of the World ( All Men ) unless He Saves the World ( All Men ).
One cannot be a Sinner unless He Sins. One cannot be a Car Driver unless He Drives a Car. One cannot be an Actor unless He Acts.
One cannot be a Musician unless He Makes Music etc. Therefore, One cannot be a Savior unless He Saves.
Christ is the Savior of the World ( All Men ) so Logically He Must Save the World ( All Men ) or the Scripture is False and Christ is Not the Savior of the World ( All Men ).
Excellent points Striving4God.
Notice how they dance around your questions. You have their feet to the fire bro! Woohoo!
A lifeguard that just offers to save a drowning victim but lets the victim drown is no saviour of that victim.
If the lifeguard actually saves the drowning victim then he indeed is the saviour of that victim.
Likewise if Jesus just offers salvation to the world and the majority of the world is never saved then Jesus is not the Saviour of the world.
The only way for Jesus to be the Saviour from sin and death of the world is to actually save all of the world from sin and death.

It is very simple. Jesus is the Saviour of the world and not only that but "if anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God." Both statements are true.

Good grief Ilene, he didn't take it out of context.
Why don't you realize you are saying Jesus FAILS at what the Father sent Him to do?
The Father sent his son to be the Savior of the world. Jesus came to save the entire world, but youIlene say its not going to happen! Amazing.
Verse 15 doesn't negate this in the least. It actually reinforces the fact that everyone will one day bow, confess, and swear allegiance to Jesus.

I Believe Christ is the Savior of the World therefore, the World will be Saved. That is sound reasoning that cannot be refuted.
Claiming that Christ is the Savior of the World but the World will not be Saved is unsound reasoning and ridiculous.
Until one of you can explain how Christ is the Savior of the World without Saving it ( The World ) I see no reason to believe otherwise. Either the Scripture is True or False. I Believe it's True.
Jesus the Christ IS the saviour of the world. Infact today here in Atlanta was an awesome day, we hit 70 degrees and I thoroughly enjoyed it so did my Jehovah Witness co-worker and my atheist co-worker. The wonderful weather revitalized me as well as for the unbelievers; God showed no favoritism and for that we have Jesus Christ to thank because without Him we wouldn't be getting such a blessing and so many more. He is truly our saviour.
If you believe that your two co-workers are going to burn forever...not five minutes...not five days...not five years....not five decades....not five centuries.....but forever and ever and ever, surely you didn't just passively enjoy the wonderful weather in Atlanta with them today without trying to prevent them from going to hell.
