Poor people who are desperate for cash have been advised to go forth and shoplift from major stores - by an Anglican priest.

The Rev Tim Jones said in his Sunday sermon that stealing from successful shops was preferable to burglary, robbery or prostitution.

The minister is very wrong to tell his sheep to sin before the Lord God, and have no faith to seek the face of God for the poor. Father I command that this ministries will be led by you, as your plan for your children, Open the doors where the words they heard are under the bridge and forgotten, Bring provision for these persons and put your spirit in them In Jesus name.

One would think that swallowing their pride and asking the church for help would be a far more godly path to take then such worldly desperate measure of shoplifting.

I take it, the Anglican priest does not want to show the church's faith in God's Providence by providing for the poor from the bounty the church has collected?
