Due to previous posts and repeated thread locking, I think it is safe to say sometimes it is hard to stay civil and Christ-like when you are anonymously communicating over the internet. So, this thread is a 'pact' meant to be something we think about when we post and when others post. If you sign it, you are pledging to do your best when their is an disagreement to handle it as you think Jesus would. If you see someone possibly loosing their cool on a post and they have signed it, you are pledging that you will send a friendly private message reminding them about the pact. No private messages for the simple fact we don't agree, just if we are being rude, and no publicly calling people out on the threads, private messages only. This is started based on my own posts, I noticed some of them I would never say to people face to face. Hope you sign and don't forget, "we're all just one big family"!
yes, I think this is a good idea, I am in a debate right now discussing ultrasounds being mandated before abortions and I am getting ripped a new one, not out of logic, just belittling, and just thinking about this I have refrained from saying some things! Refraining from striking back feels better anyways, makes them smaller and smaller in your mind, Another poster said earlier in the Christian forum "I kill my enemy by making them my friend" I don't intend to be friends, but killing the conception of someone being an enemy works really good!!!!!!!
It's tough sometimes when others are adament about what is true or not. I will try harder as I am always nice to others face to face. I'm also not used to conflict so it's hard for me to know when I'm acting out of my ordinary self to what someone else deems hostile or upsetting.
