Oh yeah, I guess christians don't wish to follow these wise words either eh? As if the commandments were done away with.....NOT.

1Jn 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

the OT and NT go hand in hand. i do not believe the teachings of God are fully complete one without the other. i put emphasis on BOTH Testaments as they compliment each other.

Just NEVER forget that the writings YOU refer to as the "Old Testament" are the very foundation for EVERYTHING that was said in the so called new testament. The new testament does NOT contradict the original writings that the Messiah and HIS Talmadim believed in and taught throughout their entire lives. It is "The FOUNDATION" of it ALL!
