Let’s not forget verse 27 of Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Thank you for adding on verse 27 because ' fire ' does consume ( Isaiah 26:11 fire devours )
Just like Gehenna was a garbage pit outside of Jerusalem (like a fireplace) where things were devoured/ consumed / destroyed.
So, it is No wonder the 'raging fire' of God's wrath will destroy the wicked forever - Psalms 37:38; 92:7; 104:35; Prov. 2:21-22
None of those verses suggest that it's a Christian doing those things. On the contrary, we find from Scripture that Jesus promises he'd lose none of those given to him. If you believe a Christian can lose his salvation, then your view of Jesus is too small.
John 6:39 "And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day."
Context is everything! Cherry picking a verse proves nothing. Doctrine should be viewed in light of ALL the Scriptures. It’s disingenuous to do otherwise.
God also wills that none should perish, that everyone should come to repentance, but they don’t, do they? Just because God wills something doesn’t mean it will happen.
Who are all those who have been given to Jesus from the Father that Jesus will never lose? Look at verse 40 “Everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life.” It is those who come to Jesus as their bread.
But what happens to those who have tasted the heavenly gift and then fallen away?
4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6[c]if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
7For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. (Heb 6)
What happens to those “brethren” who depart from the living God?
12Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13but [b]exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15while it is said:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Heb 3)
What happens to those who continue sinning after receiving knowledge of the truth?
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” [g]says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Heb 10)

Good to know you finally accept eternal torment as God’s truth. Very different from the false Watchtower teachings.
I always wondered why JW’s believe in eternal life but not eternal fire?
“If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire.” ( Mt 18:8)
From the Bible, New Testament, Book of Galatians, Chapter 2
"I do not nullify the grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through observing the Law, then Christ died for nothing.”

Matthew 18:8-9 'fire' translated from the word Gehenna KJV used ' fire ' in place of the word 'Gehenna'.
Gehenna was just a garbage pit (fireplace) where things were: destroyed forever. - Psalms 37:38; 92:7; 104:35; Prov.
2:21-22
Matthew 18:8-9 is Not advocating torture. Like Matthew 5:29-30 is a metaphor figurative of Not advocating self-mutilation.
No, there is No eternal torment or torture, because the wicked are 'destroyed forever' according to:
- Psalm 37:38; Psalm 92:7; Psalm 104:35; Proverbs 2:21-22. Please also see Jeremiah 51:39,57
The opposite of life is: death - Gen. 2:17
It's eternal life or eternal death. - www.jw.org
Adam was Not given the choice or scare tactic of eternal fire but eternal death ( becoming extinct )
So, it is No wonder both Jesus and the OT both teach ' sleep' (Not pain) in death.
- John 11:11-4; Psalm 6:5; Psalm 13:3; Psalm 115:17; Isaiah 38:18; Ecclesiastes 9:5
From the Bible, New Testament, Book of Galatians, Chapter 2 "I do not nullify the grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through observing the Law, then Christ died for nothing.”
Good point ^ above ^ because observing the Mosaic Law could not give us righteousness - Galatians 3:21; Hebrews 7:11.
Righteousness only comes through Christ Jesus - John 1:17
Since Pentecost we are under the 'Law of Christ' - Galatians 6:2 B; John 13:34-35 - Jesus' New Commandment.
According to Him, the way to life is narrow, and few there be that find it. The broad way leads to destruction.
13“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
This is a very vague and ambiguous way of saying that only Christians go to Heaven, and the rest are doomed to Hell.
It also doesn’t describe the nature of the “destruction” here either, ie as once and for all destruction or annihilation, or continuous and conscious punishment.
So why claim to believe in Jesus at all if you deny so many of the things he taught?
I do NOT believe Jesus ever taught any such nonsense! But our ancestors and those who followed them DID! They operated entirely under the concept of a wrathful and vengeful God because THEY WERE (e.g., "stoning" people to death for God), culminating in what they did to Jesus! Why do you ignore these obvious facts about the minds of our ancestors???
Your magical expectations that God would prevent their obvious misguided beliefs are irrational and completely obliterated by what they did to Jesus! Do you actually believe our ancestors' primitive, barbaric, absurd, and convoluted rationale proffered for why God did NOT intervene to prevent that egregious injustice purportedly done in His name???
Yet again ...'hell' is the term the Bible uses to refer to 'the grave'. The common concept of hell as a place of eternal torment is fiction. This piece of fiction began long ago in an 'urban legend' kind of a way ...you know, in the same way that spooky tales are told around a campfire to scare everyone. Mainstream Christianity has been preaching this scare campaign to its congregants for way, way too long.
Sensible people can usually determine fact from fiction. They can also determine that a divine being would in no way resort to punishing people - WHATEVER their crime - to an existence of eternal misery and suffering. This WOULD NOT happen.
"Hell" as it's portrayed by mainstream Christianity is a myth. It's the year 2023. It's high time that Christianity came of age, i.e., grew up instead of preaching cruel and insane urban myths as fact.
