God is holy and just (pure). Humanity is corrupted by sin, and that sin is always directly against God, our Creator. Hell is eternal because God is eternal.

You are known for linking them or quoting them often on here, which in my mind is odd if you have been a bible believer for such a long time with a relationship to Jesus.

I think if you said Gotquestions has endeavored to organize christianity into accepting what they say is the final word on truth, i would agree. I also think you do lean heavily on gotquestions, they say it, it's got to be right. Are there things on the website that you do not agree with at all, like the doctrine of eternal hell, eternal separation, being saved from a literal hell, what actually is the good news and so forth?.
In the early days of the church the church fathers had to scare the bejeezus out of pagans to get them to become Christian. So, in a twist of depravity worthy of the gods, they stole the idea of eternal punishment in fire...from the pagans...to scare the pagans...into becoming Christian.

I know it isn’t so, but my beef is with those that believe the nonsense and can still believe a god that would do such horrific nonsense, is good and worthy of admiration and praise. It defies common sense and decent morality.

God is love, so He sent His Son to pay our sin debt, so that we might be made right again with our Creator. If we accept this gift, we are turned to the right path towards becoming what God desires us to be and are promised eternal life with Him and life abundant.
