(CNN) -- This whole push to remove Christ from the Christmas season has gotten so ridiculous that it's pathetic.
Because of all the politically correct idiots, we are being encouraged to stop saying "Merry Christmas" for the more palatable "Happy Holidays." What the heck are "Seasons Greetings"? Can someone tell me what season we are greeting folks about? A Christmas tree? Oh, no! It's now a holiday tree. Any Christmas song that even remotely mentions Christ or has a religious undertone is being axed for being overtly religious. And I'm sorry, forget X-M-A-S. Malcolm X? Yes. X replacing Christ? No.

Is anybody besides me simply BORED by this entire debate?
I have been alive since the mid-1970s and, since I have been old enough to understand the debate, I have heard the exact same points made EVERY YEAR.
Is the "true meaning" of Christmas really to stand up and fight about religion even more vehemently than we do for the rest of each year? That's been its most consistent meaning in my lifetime. Thanks, America.

YES YES YES!
Personally, I think both sides have taken things too far. How about we let people celebrate what they want to celebrate, and how they want to celebrate it.
If someone wants to tell me Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanakkuh, Happy Kwanzaa, Seasons Greetings, or Merry Chrismahanakwanzaka, I will smile and say thank you.
I agree, this debate is over... let's just try to enjoy the rest of this year, whatever it brings.
