Wow. That's pretty bizarre. I like Pope Francis. He's the best Pope I've ever heard speak in my lifetime. I thank God for him.

That's a well written, facts based, article. I had no idea Home Depot co-founder Kenneth Langone was himself Catholic and conversed often with Cardinal Dolan. I wonder who that anonymous donor who might withhold the 7 digit Catholic donation is? Langone himself, perhaps?

If a person only gives to charity if they say what he wants to hear than it's best if he kept his money. There is no love in that giving.

The Pope was talking about unbridled free market and greed. Greed is in all sectors of life, even capitalism. It's good to be reminded we can get caught up in anything and think it is perfect to fix all our problems. Free market may be better than other ways but it can have it's downside as well.

There is nothing new in what Pope Francis has said concerning unfettered
capitalism. Previous popes have written economic encyclicals and supported Catholic
social movements seeking to restrain greed, usury and misallocation of
the world's resources, justice for the poor, rights for workers, and so on.
Here is a list since the Industrial Revolution.

I think Limbaugh said it best when he correctly identified the pope as a marxist. Maybe Rush is closer to God! Who knows?

Only a fundamentalist bible believer would praise Rush Limbaugh - that's for sure. It is the fundagelical Americanized bible thumping Christians who enable men like Rush Limbaugh to continue to make millions upon millions of dollars using their filthy mouths.

So tell us how you really feel.

Not sure what Rush talks about, I don't listen to him. I just read that article the OP gave reference to and it quoted Rush. What he said makes perfect sense in that article.

Yeah, Limbaugh has certainly found a way to extract their hard-earned money from them. He knows just which buttons to press.

Meanwhile, the man himself has had... what?.... three wives? And he's written a book casting himself as "Rush Revere". Never mind he avoided serving his country during Vietnam. The Christian right can't wait to hear what he says next. Limbaugh is one smart guy. He racks up the ratings and sponsors without actually walking the walk. Tell 'em what they want to hear, then count the money. It's brilliant.
