Still philosophy is under the spiritual authority of the world dark spirit called Sophia , which rules the seven liberal arts , of grammar , music, arithmetic, rhetoric, astronomy, geometry, philosophy or logic ..... As these arts do not come under the spiritual authority of the Lord God .......... See people can take grammar rules and rule out faith is God because the rules of grammar over rule the Word of God , and build legalism with grammar,................. then people can come up with prayers with flowery rhetoric , which would be useless to Holy Spirit , ............., then people can change the Gospel and come up with philosophy belief or even Theosophy which is logic , and idolatry , and which over rule truth of God Word and rules out faith in God , were receiving grace will be stalled , and can build a false character of Jesus and His purpose .................. See people who engage in these liberal arts will attract demons on their lives , and need to keep close to Jesus
1 : strict, literal, or excessive conformity to the law or to a religious or moral code <the institutionalized legalism that restricts free choice>
Matthew 5:17
King James Version (KJV)
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
Jesus came to fulfill the law for those who would accept Him as their Lord and Savior. The law then, still exists and is in effect for those who will not accept Him. In that a sense it is not evil. Choosing to be under the law would seem to me to be the evil choice, wouldn't you agree?
The original Greek word for fulfill used in Matt. 5:17 is PLERO meaning TO SATISY, EXPIRE AND TO END BY FULFILLING LIKE BIBLICAL PROPHECIES WHEN FULFILLED.
Though the law itself was unkeepable, it was not of itself, evil. The Sadducees and Pharicees of Jesus' day made it evil by inventing new definations and commandments and ADDING them to the law, through their own interpretation of the law. It was not their place to do this!! They took their position too far, exceeding their authority by leaps and bounds. They literally played a kind of Satan in doing so and in doing so, brought down the wrath of Jesus'. As the Jewish religious leaders of the time, they often broke the law themselves and in doing so became hypocrits. We all know what Jesus' thought of them at the time of His ministry on earth.
Just a quick example of legalism. You go to the store and see your friend Joe, who is a legalistic person. At the risk of knowing better and so as not to offend him (and since you can't avoid him) you take a deep breath and talk casually to him. "Hey Joe, what's up? Hey, I ran into Fred at the train station the other day. I hadn't seen him in months. So you how you doin'?"
Joe, the legalist answers, "You literally ran into him?... with your body or in your car? Did you hurt him?"
"No, I mean I just saw him and talked to him."
Joe- "Oh, so you lied to me!! You didn't REALLY run into him did you?'
You sigh and shrug your shoulders, "No Joe, I didn't really run into him. I'm sorry I brought it up in the first place."
In the sense of the definition above, with the restriction of freedom of choice (in this case, your choice of words that you say to Joe), yes, legalism is somewhat evil.
