The Scriptures speak of Satan as an actual being and not as a personification of disobedient man. Satan is a fallen Cherub angel who persuaded one third of the angels to rebel against God and who now follow him in opposition to God. A few simple passages prove that Satan is real.
Revelation 12 speaks of war in heaven during the middle of the future 7 year Tribulation in which Michael and his angels fight against Satan and his angels. Satan is permanently cast out of heaven at that point and confined to the earth. It is not the spirit of disobedient man which Michael and his angels war against in heaven and cast to the earth.
Rev. 12:7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, 8] and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9] And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.
Jesus told His disciples that Satan had requested that he be allowed to sift them as wheat.
Luke 22:31 "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you (hymas - plural) as wheat.
During the Millennium Satan will be imprisoned in the abyss. Yet man will still have a sin nature and be disobedient.
Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2] And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
This is sufficient to show that Satan is an actual being. Those who deny the existence of Satan have no justification for their belief.

Indeed, there have been messengers’ who have fallen, but they weren’t angels! These false prophets have attempted to turn the truth of adversity into the lie called Satan through the blending of Christianity with the thoughts of Pagan philosophers, under the authority of the Emperors who required a national amalgamated religion to solidity their control over the people. Your adversary and the accusers of Christ, seek whom they can devour; the gullible.

These verses no doubt are all from the New Testament and where probably written in a time when the Authors where facing extreme Adversity and Negativity at the hands of their Theological and Political opponents.
These Authors of these books may have imposed some of their own beliefs and thoughts into Scripture as they wrote, the Biblical Cannon as we have it now was not decided over night, it took some time for the early Church to sort out the books they wanted from the ones they didn't.
During the rise of Christianity, any other form of Christianity was silenced by the Church, at times they would hunt down and kill these kinds of people and burn their Scriptures among those hunted and killed where Gnostics.
There is a saying: "History is written by the victor." What that means is that history often comes from the Biased point of views from the ones who win Wars. Now days we have propaganda and a vast media system to spread it, so now days it is much easier for Biased points of view to corrupt gullible masses. People should be on guard from being attacked mentally from outside forces that wish to manipulate them. "Therefore: Test everything hold unto the good and stay away from every kind of evil."

The gospel of Luke was written somewhere between A.D. 58-70.
The Book of Revelation was written in A.D. 95 or 96.
As with the other Books of the Bible, they were written under the superintendence of the Holy Spirit and are accurate in what they say.
That which is contained in the Book of Revelation was given by God the Father to Jesus Christ who revealed, unveiled, disclosed it to John through the intermediation of an angel.

The Bible is the Word of God and is therefore accurate in all that it says. And it was the Holy Spirit who guided the formation of the Canon. The church could only recognize which books had divine authority.
