So there's a woman from Chicago whom I met online last October, and we're into each other enough that we're making arrangements to officially meet each other this coming Labor Day weekend. The other day, she told me that I have a job to do: think of 10 things I'd like to do while I'm with her in Chicago. Could those of you who are from the Chicago area, or who visit Chicago on a regular basis, give me a list of things you like to do there, plus places you recommend that we go? Thanks.

Mod: This thread might be better off in the Chicago forum.

And OP-search the Chicago forum for ideas. This question has been asked hundreds of times in one way or another...

I can think of a few things:
1- Regular Lake tour or the architectural tour with options: day/night and w/wo meals.
2- The chocolate factory tour - includes samples.
3- Chinatown
4- Museums, botanical gardens and 2 zoological parks.
5- Hancock Center for dinner and drinks
6- Millenium Park and Navy Pier
7- Trolley tour of the City
8- Shedd Aquarium
9- Museum of Sciemce and Industry
0- Walking tour in Oak Park of the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the world.

If your friend likes to drive, perhaps she will take you on the Outer Drive early Sunday morning and then out for breakfast. And maybe on Lower Wacker Drive. It is interesting for its history and if you have never seen anything like it.

walk around millennium park and see the bean
Millennium Park :: Art and Architecture :: Cloud Gate on AT&T Plaza (http://www.millenniumpark.org/artandarchitecture/cloud_gate.html - broken link)

spend time in grant park and see the buckingham fountain
Buckingham Fountain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

both of these will afford you the opportunity to stroll around, enjoy the skyline and lakeview, and see some cool chicago-specific attractions.

Depending on her sense of humor you could start with: #1 - You, and then just go from there.

I am sexually attracted to her, and she has told me that she's thought about kissing me (and that she enjoys the thought), but I want to know if I'm compatible with her in person first before I make a move like that.

Basically, I'm head over heels for her, and I don't want to **** it up by moving too fast, or by having too many expectations when we first meet. Besides, she told me that one of the first things she liked about me was that I didn't immediately get sexual with her the way many (most?) guys online have.

She's talked about doing that many times, so I guess that's one thing I'll do.
