What are the best things to do during the Taste of Chicago 2010? from Friday July 2-Monday July 5 . I'm going there with my girlfriend so we'd like to do some sightseeing as well as take in the festival, and go to a couple bars.

Eat and then leave. It's really like a bad state fair without the rides and livestock (well some of the people in attendance resemble livestock anyway).

I personally hate the Taste of Chicago. Wall to wall people. Impossible to move around (even outdoors!). Lining up required for just about every foodstand.
Save your cash and go to a nice restaurant instead
Or, stop by the Taste for 30 minutes just to get the feel for it and "say you've done it".
