Does Kuma's have any vegetarian options?

The great thing about Hot Doug's is that the veggie dogs are truly spectacular. Probably not the best option for strict veggies as the dog water is probably shared with the rest of the encased meat products :-)

Vegetarians are sacrificed at the alter and their meat is used to make Kuma's famous ***** burger.

Yes. The Mac and Cheese there is really good, so non-vegan vegetarians can take advantage of that.

Also, all burgers can be made with a veggie patty instead of meat. The veggie burger is okay (I took a bite of a veggie friend's one day), but the real star at Kuma's is the meat, so I can't say vegetarians will quite have the same experience as omnivores.

Oh yeah. That ***** burger is super tasty. What makes it so good is that you can TASTE the angst and empathy that permeates the vegetarian meat. Vegetarians are cute, and as we've learned from veal and lamb, cute=tender.

I think the real magic of the Kuma's burgers (disclaimer: I'm a vegetarian) is the pretzel roll. That and the beer, anyhoo.

Quiet down, you crotchety old sod. I like the pretzel rolls. I even like (now HERE'S a gasper) brioche buns for some sandwiches.

And that Kuma Burger is ridiculously good thanks, in large part, TO that fried egg.

hmm, I seem to have missed the fried egg. btw, even though I live less than a mile from this joint, I haven't been there since the most-cursed Check Please ruined/exposed it. How early do you need to get there to beat the crowd, is 30 minutes enough? Are there slow times? Because every single time I pass it, there are people waiting outside. Seriously, the success couldn't happen to a nicer place/owner/staff, but I do miss having it as a secret.

^^Go on a weekday right when they open or around 3 pm after the lunch rush and before dinner. It's actually easier to get a seat in the summer because they have a little patio that allows for like 6 more tables.
