I used to make that drive occasionally for work. I did it maybe twice a week for a few months at a time and at off hours, and it still kinda sucked. You hit multiple bottlenecks no matter which route you take. Maybe if you had a nice fast boat...

Yep, I wouldn't wish that commute my worst enemy. That would be a bad commute in good weather and light traffic, but if there snow, ice or anything else slowing people down, that would be enough to make one either move or change jobs!

We're discussing the facts as presented in this discussion, not another. Go to the other one if you have something to say over there. And give it up on telling others how to respond or what to respond. Follow the bouncing ball.

While I know what you mean and you obviously mean well, the facts presented by the person in question in the other thread will only help us present better advice. Why would I sit back and let that happen when I already know this person's requirements? Sorry but just sitting back and saying nothing while giving out advice contrary to information you've already collected about the person's requirements is complete bull**** to me.

It would be like that Wrigleyville-Naperville commute guy starting a new thread asking about how good Uptown is and you just sitting back and saying "Yeah! It's fine in most of Uptown" when you already know they want to commute to some far away place and already had a thread talking about somewhere even closer that everyone said "don't do it" to.
