I think what some people missed when commenting is that the OP specifically stated that career-wise he wanted to be in a top 3 market, so the relative population densities of Boston or Philadelphia are really besides the point.

Hank, that is terrific. I am not casting doubt onto whether Fraternity alumni hold prominent positions in their professional careers. Fraternities provide a great professional network post-college.

It was never my intent to insinuate that all alumni of fraternities "spend ever waking minute searching for our next party". When I alluded to the 'frat boy' stereotype in one of my posts, I encapsulated it with apostrophes to show that I was using the term loosely.

However, whether you like it or not, the term 'frat boy' is a slang term in my demographic (I'm in my mid-20's). It doesn't always pertain to just fraternity members. It alludes to one who:

-Uses the word "bro" a little too liberally
-Wears a backwards baseball cap, button-up shirt, ed hardy t-shirts, pops their collar
-Has short hair with an inordinate amount of gel in it
-Gets drunk 3+ times a week
-Would have trouble finding many countries on a map
etc...

Again, I am sorry if I offended you or the fraternity system. It was not my intent.

Also, I appreciate the feedback about the creative vibe of other neighborhoods. I am gradually becoming more excited about the prospects of Chicago!
